Transfer rumours II

GOING NOWHERE!

Istanbul fans will be releaved to hear the latest statement of Jonas Volz regarding his future plans in Turkey. After being linked to other cities around the country over the last couple of weeks the whole city was in a shock state, fearing they might lose their most valuable asset, the blond angel!
He stated that he "did indeed think about a move when times were starting to be tough" but that he has come to terms with his current employee and was not afraid of taking on the challenge. He stated that he would not run away from his duties and furthermost his fans. "After receiving such great support from my supporters I could not bare the thought of leaving them behind. They are what makes me great and I want to pay them back by giving 100 percent in each moment in this amazing city."
When asked what the decisive thing was to change his mind and make him want to continue in Istanbul he said: "I only had to listen to my heart!". Big words from a big man.

Transfer rumours

SHOCK MOVE DOWN SOUTH
Volz linked with an early exit

Istanbul Fans may be shocked to hear that rumours have been going around saying that the beloved immigrant from Germany may be heading out of the capital of culture 2010 sooner than expected. He was quoted when talking to a group of journalists that he was still indeed "very happy to be in Istanbul" and had no intentions of leaving this city. Other sources though, claim that personal reasons may force him out of Istanbul before his one year contract will run out in August 2011.
The terrorist attack last week and the constant threat of an earthquake may certainly be factors for this. But close sources to the "blond angel" indicate, that it has more to do with the city itself. They claim that he is enjoying himself a lot, going out many nights a week, socialising and havin fun. But that he seems to grow more and more unhappy with the hectic, tiring and chaotic life which is necessary to survive in this beautiful but overcrowded city. His brother and agent, Phillipp Volz, revealed that he may be flirting with a return to his former host city Izmir where he could see out the rest of his contract, enjoying the relaxed atmosphere of the 3 million sea side town. There he could really focus on his Turkish, which he couldn't really do so far in Istanbul and return to a more relaxed and paradisic surrounding where he and his fans abroad would no longer have to worry about anything other than beer prices and sunburns.
He will definately remain in Istanbul for this semester but after that it seems like the charismatic German may be heading down south.

Istan...Iraq?

A suicide bomber??? In my town?
As some of you may have heard there was a terrorist attack in Istanbul yesterday. Some man tried to attack a police check point in the middle of the centre, carrying a bomb.  I was at home and only saw it on TV but 35 people were injured in the blast, luckily no deaths (accept for the terrorist of course).
Today though, everything seems like this had never happened. And when asking some of my Turkish friends what they thought about the whole bomb-thing they mostly answered with "what bomb? aahh that. Mhh I don know, dont worry!".  Worrying doesnt seem to be particularly Turkish. I am well and not even that scared. I thought I would be much more shocked if something like this would happen but no. Maybe I have become more Turkish than I thought. Or I am just super hard!
I will certainly avoid Police check-points from now on and be even more careful. Plus I have got God on my side, so dont you worry! ;)

love you all
